Read something quite beautiful today, so I thought why not share…
Was reading Chicken Soup for Soul (for those who don’t know, it’s a book, written by Jack Canfield and Mark Hansen) and read this very thoughtful paragraph.
Patty Hansen narrates,
Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile spring soil. The first seed said, "I want to grow! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust my sprouts through the earth's crust above me.... I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring... I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of the morning dew on my petals!" And so she grew.
The second seed said, "I am afraid. If I send my roots into the ground below, I don't know what I will encounter in the dark. If I push my way through the hard soil above me I may damage my delicate sprouts ... what if I let my buds open and a snail tries to eat them? And if I were to open my blossoms, a small child may pull me from the ground. No, it is much better for me to wait until it is safe."
And so she waited.
A yard hen scratching around in the early spring ground for food found the waiting seed and promptly ate it.
MORAL OF THE STORY
Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life.

Most of us who read this will definitely see a reflection of their own thoughts in it. Because we have to admit that we all fear to take risks, to try out something new, to carry out our ideas, to be who we are, what we do, to speak up, to live… It’s not always necessary to follow the world, sometimes it’s better to just be yourself, stand out unique in a crowd, to lead… Then why don’t we, because we fear to take risks, to spread out our branches. Isn’t it much better to take risks and be satisfied that atleast we tried, gave our best effort, so what if we didn’t succeed, so what if we didnt get what we desired, atleast we gave it a shot… 40 years from today when we look back at our lives, our childhood, our youth, we should smile and say, “What an adventurous life”… J or would it be better if we look back and think, that’s another soul swallowed up by life…
Take risks, live life...
